Excursions and school trips
The school is obliged by regulations to request a signed consent form before any child can take part in a school excursion or trip. These forms are distributed to children by their class teacher prior to any of these activities.
At the beginning of each school year, parents are asked to sign a consent form for excursions within walking distance of the school to cover all such activities for the year. Parents will be informed prior to the activity of the venue e.g. Yahl Hall, approximate timing and who will be accompanying them on the excursion through the school newsletter, or through a note, class note or diary entry.
Parents who do NOT wish their child to participate in a particular excursion need to inform the school in advance of the activity.
Private cars may be used to provide transport for an excursion if in the opinion of the Principal, it is not financially viable to use a bus contractor.
